Laxmipur: Laxmipur arrested with gun, bullets and icty. Russell Orpe Kala Russell was killed in a ‘gunfight’ with the police.
On Thursday (May 18) around two o'clock in the night, the ‘gunfight’ incident took place in the Chatkhil border area of Laxmipur Sadar Upazila.
The deceased Russell No.Chail Chatkhil Chatani Abdul Karim's son, who is in the Laxmipur Sadar Hospital morgue, is the son of Abdul Karim of Takba village.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chandraganj Police Station Moktar Hossain of Laxmipur, police fired weapons at night according to the information of the arrested Russell, his associates fired at the police; for the sake of defense, the police also fired at his accomplices.
Incidentally, on Thursday (May 18) morning, a single barrel gun, two rounds of bullets and 11 pieces of elaboration from an abandoned house of Kaviraj Bair of North Jhatpur village under Chandraganj police station of Lakshmipur. Russell Orpe Kala Russell and Md. Police arrested two people named Bablu, who was arrested in the jail of Nurul Amin of Bablu village.
