From Laxmipur's Kamalnagar Upazila Sadar Hajihat Bazar, the name of the police station has been broken by the names of the police stations and three youths have been accused of extortion from the drivers of the battery operated autorickshaw drivers.
On Wednesday (03 May) in the evening, the angry drivers filed a written complaint against the three people who were charged with the police station.
The accused are Abdul Khalek son of Upazila Char Falcon village Md. Rubel, Md. Tanveer and Md. Mohin of the same village.
On behalf of the autorickshaw drivers, the police station complained that the son of deceased Abdul Matin of Char Jangalita village. Abul Bashar 20 to 30 autorickshaw drivers were present in the police station.
According to the written complaint, since October last year, the name of the police has been breaking the name of the police from the battery operated autorickshaw from Hazirhat Bazar, 200 taka per month, the road has been paying 2 thousand taka per day.
Autorickshaw drivers Abul Bashar, Nizam, Rashed, Mostafa, Hammad, Alamgir and Abdur Rahim said that since last few months, they have been collecting money from us at different rates from us in the name of police station. After learning about the poison, we have complained to the police station.
Kamalnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Akul Chandra Biswas said that the battery operated autorickshaw drivers have filed a complaint and legal action will be taken after investigating the matter.
