The low pressure has turned into a low pressure over the Bay of Bengal, while the coastal 15 districts are at risk of high tides 1 to 2 feet higher.
Meteorologist Khondkar Hafizur Rahman said that the clear low pressure in the West Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal has moved towards the west-nor-west direction and intensified into a low pressure. Due to this, deep-moving clouds continue to form in the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas. Seaports, North Bay of Bengal and coastal areas of Bangladesh may be blown.
Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to show local warning signal number three (re:). Due to the influence of full moon and air pressure differences, coastal districts Satkhira, Khulna, Bagerhat, Jhalkathi, Pirojpur, Barguna, Patuakhali, Bhola, Barisal, Laxmipur, Chandpur, Noakhali, Feni, Chittagong and Cox's Bazar and their outer islands and chars may be flooded with wind-driven tides 1 to 2 feet higher than normal tides.
This situation has been asked to move carefully near the coast until further notice of fishing boats and trawlers stationed in the North Bay of Bengal and deep sea. Also they are asked not to roam in the deep sea.
In another forecast, Rangpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Kushtia, Jessore, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Patuakhali, Comilla, Noakhali, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet regions are subjected to temporary rain/storm with winds of 45-60 kmph. The monsoon axis extends through Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, low pressure centers and southern Bangladesh through the southeast of Bangladesh, with the monsoons active over Bangladesh and the North Bay of Bengal is in a state of turmoil.
This situation may be due to light to moderate rain/thunder with temporary gusts/storms and lightning in most places of Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions till Monday (September 12) morning and many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions.
Also, heavy to very heavy rains may occur in some parts of the southern part of the country, with a day temperature of 1-2 degrees Celsius. May decrease and night temperature will remain almost unchanged.
