Ruhita Aotami League and BNP of Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila have issued Section 144 to call a rally at the same place.
Acting Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shahriar Rahman issued this order on Monday.
UNO said, ‘Ruhita Thana area is in a different position to carry out the program of Aomi League and BNP in the same place and in the same place. If the program of the two parties continues, there may be disruption in traffic in various areas of Ruhita area, including disruption in traffic, damage to private and government property and deterioration of the law and order situation.
Therefore, in order to keep the situation normal and for the safety of the people, Section 144 has been issued from 8 am to 8 pm on Tuesday, including East Chowrasta, West Chowrasta and Thakurgaon-Atoari microbus stand in Ruhita area.’
He said, ‘In this area, all kinds of meetings, meetings, processions, people gathered, movement of four or more people together and all activities against law and order will be banned.
District BNP president Taimur Rahman said that as part of the central program, Ruhita 3 pm march and protest rally was called but Section 144 has been issued there.
On the other hand, the general secretary of Ruhita Thana Aomi League said that a rally was organized to protest the killing of 15 upst and 21 August.
Ruhita police station OC Sohail Rana confirmed the poison and said that additional police have been deployed in Thana town due to unpleasant incidents.
