In Kamalnagar of Lakshmipur, the sale of fertilizer at an extra price has been fined.
The mobile court has fined the owner of the company named Messrs Chowdhury Traders 10,000 taka in Hazir Hat Bazar of the upazila for the crime of selling fertilizers at a higher price than the price of the government.
On the afternoon of August 23, the mobile court was conducted under the leadership of Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Md. Kamruzzaman. This operation was conducted after receiving information that fertilizers are being sold at higher prices than the government.
Eurita and TSP fertilizers are supposed to be sold at Tk 22 per kg, but as the crime of selling at Tk 25 to Tk 27 per kg has been proved to be a crime. This will be fined.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Atiq Ahmed said that in order to ensure the sale of fertilizers at a fair price, the business organization called M/s Chowdhury Traders of the upazila was fined Tk 10,000 for selling fertilizer at an additional price, and the additional money of the farmers was returned. Our campaign will continue.
