The incident took place in the Uttara BRT project flyover girder and three others have given a confessional statement in the court, while the court has granted bail to the four accused.
After the remand on Monday (August 22), three of the eight accused gave a statement voluntarily in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Nurul Huda Chowdhury, who gave a statement.
The accused are the main crane driver Al-Amin, his assistant Rakib and the security engineer of the contractor Md. Zulfikar Ali Shah, who have been sent to jail after recording the statement.
It is to be noted that on the afternoon of August 15, a girder was being lifted on the crane in front of the Uttara Jasim Uddin area and it was overturned on the private car.
