A mother was shot dead by her son due to a family dispute in Chittagong. However, the accused son Mainuddin Mainur (30) died immediately after this incident.
The incident took place on Tuesday (August 16) around 2 pm in Samjar Paja of Upazila Sadar.
The deceased woman is Jasmine Akhtar (55), wife of Prat Shamsul Alam Master, former memorandum of Pattia Municipality and former Presidium member of Jati Party.
It is known that on Tuesday afternoon, the property and money left behind by his father, he had a fight with his mother and he shot his mother in the head.
Inspector (Investigation) of Pattia police station Rashedul Islam said that after receiving this news, 10 cartridges and one Eargun were seized from the spot. However, the operation is underway to arrest him.
