Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Metr Atiqul Islam said that the work of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in the capital will be stopped for the time being.
DNCC Metor said this while visiting the scene after five people were killed after box guards on Jasimuddin Road in Uttara of the capital on Tuesday.
He said that there is no minimum security system in this project, which is why accidents are happening after a few days and people are suffering.
This way the work cannot be allowed to continue, and the safety of the citizens must be ensured first.
Atiqul Islam also said that the work of many projects including Dhaka BRT, Metrorail has been called to the city building next Thursday and they can start the work only if they confirm the safety poison.
