Sadar Upazila of Netrakona, at least 8 were injured in the clash between the two sides of the Chhatra League on the day of mourning.
The incident took place on Monday (August 15) afternoon in Bagra village of Chalisha Unit of Sadar Upazila, based on the buffalo meat of the Union Parishad Cheterman.
The injured are - District Chhatra League member Sultan Mahmud Milan, Chalisha Uniton Jubo League President Abdul Jalil, Secretary Saifur Rahman Lalu and Joint Secretary Yuvat Jani including eight people.
Eyewitnesses said that the upazila's Chalisha UP chairman Mahbubur Rahman slaughtered a buffalo for a mass feast on the occasion of the day of mourning and shared it equally on 9 o'tarards and the president and editors of the Awami League were not there.
On Monday morning, after paying tribute to Bangabandhu's tomb, the cooking started.
This sam Sadar Upazila Aomi League's former general secretary Jim Khan Pathan went to Bagra village with 20 to 25 leaders of the Union Jubo League-Chatra League.
There, the current Sadar Upazila Awami League president Ataur Rahman Khan Manik's nephew, their argument with the district Chhatra League member Milon, they had an argument.
At one stage, when Milon was injured, the villagers clashed and at least eight people were injured on both sides.
Netrakona Model Police Station OC said, "We went to the spot after receiving the news. The people of the two sides were injured and we will take action if we complain."
