Deputy Speaker of the National Parliament and the freedom fighter Advocate Md. Fazle Rabbi Mia's first funeral was held.
The funeral was held at the national Eidgah ground of the capital after 10 o'clock on Monday morning.
Before this, the body was brought directly from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to the Supreme Court premises. His body arrived at the airport on EK-582 flight at 8:45 am. After that, his long-time colleagues attended the Eidgah at the Eidgah.
On July 22, Deputy Speaker Md. Fazle Rabbi Mita died while undergoing treatment at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, USA. He was suffering from cancer for a long time.
