The government has taken seven precautionary decisions so that the global economic recession does not have a negative impact on the critical situation in Bangladesh.
Prime Minister Chief Secretary Dr. Kauskous has informed about these decisions, and the decisions are:
1. Traveling abroad should be avoided as much as possible.
2. Power consumption in all government offices will be reduced by 25 percent and the budget allocation for energy sector will be reduced by 20 percent.
3. Most of the meetings should be organized online.
4. To keep the prices of daily commodities including food products tolerable, other measures should be strengthened including market monitoring, taking action against stockpiling through mobile courts.
5. Learning to find out the way for students to avoid personal use of private The ministry will be requested, said Dr. Ahmad Katkaus.
6. Necessary steps should be taken from the beginning of the financial year to collect internal resources and NBR should take effective measures to achieve the target.
7 Each ministry will take initiatives to reduce revenue expenditure by re-examination of its own purchase plan.
