Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has invited West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to see the Padma Bridge.
On Tuesday, the Chief Minister's office delivered the invitation through a letter to Nabanna.
In the letter, Sheikh Hasina asked the Chief Minister of West Bengal to come to Bangladesh at a convenient time to see the Padma Bridge.
He also mentioned that the Prime Minister of Bangladesh is expecting to meet Chief Minister Mamata during his visit to Delhi in India in September.
Sheikh Hasina also said that there is no alternative to work together in terms of linguistic and cultural intimacy between Bangladesh and West Bengal.
He believes that Padma Bridge will open new opportunities for trade between Bangladesh and West Bengal.
