At least 14 migrants died in a boat fire in South Senegal, a local meteor and a health official told AFP on Tuesday.
‘We have managed to recover 14 bodies. The death toll is expected to be more,’ said David Ditatta, a memorator of Kafauntine, a coastal town in Cassamsan, after the fire broke out on Monday.’
City Chief Nurse Burama Fabor said 21 people were injured, 4 of them were seriously injured.
There were about 140 people in the cut, 90 of those who were identified, 90 were saved. Mater Dittatta said, ‘There are Guinea, Nigeria, Gambita and Senegal citizens who are searching for the missing.’
‘The survivors said that fire started from smoking. There was fuel where there was smoking,’ Metr said.’
