Rakhtpur upazila of Laxmipur, 36 sawmills are being planted day and night without a license.
Most of the wood is collected by the local forest department and administration, which is not being used by the local forest department and administration in terms of setting up and running a sawmill.
The upazila has reported that only 14 of the 50 saws have been licensed and the remaining 36 are running illegally. Another 18 sawmills have been re-apply for the establishment of 18 sawmills.
The government rules are being run from 6 am to 6 pm, but the call is being run from dawn to late night in some places without power connection.
It is said that if you get a license in the forest department for setting up two thousand rupees for setting up this saw mill, it is not allowed to establish a license for the Department of Environment. Again, it is not allowed to set up a sawmill within a minimum of 10 km from the border of the government forest land.
Sailing mills cannot be set up within 200 meters of government offices-courts, industrial establishments, hospitals, health centers, recreational institutions, amusement parks, parks and public health or environment. If this law is set up in prohibited places before the coming into effect, they should be closed within 90 days from the date of enforcement of the law.

Masum Billah, a resident of Devipur village, said, ‘We are suffering from the loud noise of the karatmill. Our normal life is being disrupted. My old mother is in a lot of trouble. My wife's writing is being disturbed. They have not taken any initiative to control the word. They have not taken any initiative to control the word. Rather, they are threatening us. Many people like us are running sawdusts in the populated areas. If they are not at fault, we are not at fault.’
Ratpur Upazila Officer of the Forest Department Chandan Bhowmik said, ‘The number of sartals in Raatpur is about 50. Only 14 of them have licensed. 18 have been applied. We have not known that there is a situation of setting up sawmills in the people without knowing that there is a situation in this case.’
