The lower areas of Rajibpur upazila have been flooded due to the massive increase in the water of Brahmaputra, Sonabhari, Jinjiram, Jalchia and Hollohli rivers due to continuous heavy rains coming down from upstream.
Thousands of people are suffering from heavy loss of crops including roads and crops in various villages, jute, sesame, koun, and Chinese crops.
As a result of the continuous rise in water, the villages and rivers along the rivers of the upazila have been submerged, along with the rise in the river, the erosion of the river has intensified, and the Banvasis have taken shelter with domestic animals and have taken shelter in the road or on the high places.

According to the official sources of Rajibpur Upazila Agriculture Officer, the upazila has been submerged in 1650 hectares of jute in water, and 25 hectares of seedbeds and 20 hectares of vegetable crops have been submerged in flood water.
Rajibpur Upazila Agriculture Officer Rafiqur Islam said, "The rains and upstream water have come down and the lower areas are flooded. If the water drops, there will be no damage to the crops."
Rajibpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Amit Chakraborty said, "The rain and floods have flooded the grasslands and the grasslands have been flooded with the flooding and we have taken precautionary measures for the flooding."
