Earlier on Sunday, Education Minister Dipu Moni had announced that there will be no JSC and JDC exams this year like last two years. These exams are not mentioned in the new curriculum.
The education minister said that the new curriculum will start from next year. The 8th grade will start in 2024. As a result, the exam will not be conducted next year.
On May 30, the assessment system of the students has been given the official approval of the new curriculum from pre-primary to higher secondary level. The Ministry and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education will approve the outline in the joint meeting of the two national curriculum coordinating committee (NCCC).
As per the National Education Policy, there is no provision for taking any kind of public examination before class 8, this exam is being stopped this year. It has been decided not to take the PEC exam in the meeting of the ministry.
