Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate this year's Hajj program on Friday (June 3).
The program will be held at 10 am on this day at Ashkona Hajkamp in the capital. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the program by joining online from Ganobhaban.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has informed that the Hajj camp was attended by the Minister of State for Religious Affairs Md. Faridul Haque Khan and the Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Tourism. Mahbub Ali will be present.
The holy Hajj will be held in Saudi Arabia on July 8 (9 Zilhaj) subject to the sighting of the moon. No one from Bangladesh could participate in Hajj in the last 2 years due to the coronavirus pandemic. This time 10 lakh pilgrims from all over the world will get the opportunity to participate in Hajj. This number of pilgrims will be divided according to the quota of the number of quotas.
The Saudi Arabian government announced the opportunity to go to Hajj after the scheduled time.
