Two people, including a child, were killed after being hit by a train in Kamarkhand, Sirajganj.
The accident took place on the south side of the Jamoil railway station of Kamarkhand upazila on the Dhaka-Ishwardi railway on Friday (May 20) afternoon.
Both of the victims are said to be residents of Kazipura village in Rashtadaulatpur union of the upazila, one of them is 65 and the other is 8 years old, their name is known.
Narsin Hossain, station master of Jamoil railway station, said that the old man and the child were crossing the railway station, when the Nilsagar Express from Dhaka to Chilahati hit them, two people died on the spot.
GRP Police Station Officer-in-Charge OC Harun-or-Rashid Mridha said that the family members had been killed before the police reached the spot after the news of the accident.
