Ratpur Representative:
The Coast Guard raid on Meghna River in Rakhtpur Upazila of Laxmipur on Friday night was seized by 20,000 meters of current net, 240 kg of Jatka hilsa and 1 inch powered boat.
On Saturday (February 04) morning, Ratpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shilpi Rani Rath was distributing the banned current net publicly in the mobile court.
This is the same upazila senior fisheries officer Belat Hossain and Coast Guard Officer Contingent Commander Shahidur Rahman were present.
Upazila Sinister Fisheries Officer Belatet Hossain said, "The fishermen of the late night raid will jump into the river and arrest anyone. Our operation to kill Jatka will continue."
