The construction of 9 bridges in five projects under the Gaibandha Local Government Engineering Directorate (LGED) is ongoing.
If these bridges are built, the concerned people think that the expansion of business and trade with the improvement of communication system and the farmers will get a fair price. That is why LGED officials are constantly supervising these important projects for the sake of conducting the activities properly.
Gaibandha Local Department of Engineering (LGED) has informed that the five upazilas of Gaibandha are the project for supporting Rural Bridges, the Rural Infrastructure Development Project (RIRDP-3), the Upazila, the United Nations, the 100th meter of the project, and the project is more than the next 100 meter bridge.
The scope of these projects is 45 meters in Gidari Unit of Gidari Unit of Gaibandha Sadar Upazila, 81 meters in Kholahati Unit and 22 meter long bridge in Boli Unit.
On the other hand, the construction work of 1490 meter long PC girder bridge over the Teesta river is underway in the project titled “Sundarganj upazila of Gaibandha district, which connects with Panchpir Bazar-Chilmari upazila headquarters, construction of 1490 meter long PC girder bridge over the Teesta river” is going on.
It is also known that the work of inviting tenders for the construction of 6 more bridges under various projects of LGED in Gaibandha is also under the process.
