Rapid Action Battalion RAB-12 members arrested a drug dealer named Kanak Hasen (21) with 10 kg of ganja at the check post at Rachganj, Sirajganj.
Arrested Md. Kanak Hossain (21) is the son of Md. Moslem Uddin of Ramchandrapur area of Meghdumur police station of Gaibandha district.
RAB-12 Medita Officer Major M. Rifat-bin-Assad confirmed this in a press release on Wednesday (April 27) at 12 o'clock.
It is mentioned in the press release that on the occasion of Eid, RAB-12 members set up an immobile check post in front of Messrs. Master and Sons Filling Station of Rataganj Upazila in front of Dhaka-Buguja Mahasaker at around 5 o'clock on Wednesday to prevent drug trafficking.
A passenger transport operation from Dhaka to Rangpur was raided by 01 drug dealer along with 10 (ten) kg of ganja.
01 mobile phone used for the drug sale and cash of 600/- in cash was seized with him. Later, he was handed over to Rachaganj police station along with the evidence recovered against the arrested drug dealer.
