An illegal battery factory in Narsingdi has been fined by the mobile court of the district administration.
On Monday (April 11) at noon, the Executive Magistrate of District Administration AKM Hasanur Rahman fined Tk 2 lakh to the battery manufacturing company in Morjal area of Ratpura upazila.
District Administration Executive Magistrate AKM Hasanur Rahman said that Ashita BD Limited Battery Factory conducted the operation, several other non-use of the factory environment, ETP, ATP, not using protection equipment.
The 1 case in Bangladesh Environment Protection Act, 1995 has been fined two lakh taka and immediately fined for the battery factory.
