The 7th grader Sheikh Naim (13) was killed on the way back from the school on a bicycle from the tractor pulling tractor. The accident happened at the shop of Gerda Mannan in Sadar Upazila on Thursday (March 31) when the driver and tractor were detained by the villagers.
The deceased Naim Gerda AF Mujibur Rahman is a seventh grade student of secondary school, the son of Seken Sheikh, a day laborer of Gadadhardangi village in Gerda Unit, which is the case of the loss of a child in Naim's family.
The headmaster of the school, Nazrul Islam, said that after class on Thursday afternoon, Naim was returning to the bicycle after class, when a tractor with a ground traction from the opposite direction hit him, he died on the spot.
The people present at the incident immediately seized the tractor along with the driver, after receiving the news, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Liton Dhali and Kototali police stations visited the spot.
