RAB-12 members have arrested the murderous father of a 3-month-old child named Raisa by the intoxicated father of Sirajganj.
He was arrested from Ramarchar Goja Bridge area of Salanga police station in the district last Wednesday night (March 30).
The arrested Ranju Mita is the son of Abdur Rahim of Chaubila village of that police station.
RAB-12 Median Officer Assistant Superintendent of Police Mostafizur Rahman said that after filing the case of sensational child murder on Wednesday afternoon, RAB-12 members launched an operation to arrest the main accused murderer father.
The killer father Ranju Mita was arrested from Ramarchar Goja Bridge area of Salanga police station in the district on the same day and he was handed over to the Salanga police station.
Earlier, due to a family dispute, Ranju Mita, son of Abdur Rahim of Chaubila Paschimpasa village of Salanga police station, was separated from his wife Jannati for a long time and took his wife Jannati to his own house with a child last Tuesday night.
Jannati Khatun went to take a bath by leaving her baby sleeping at home on Wednesday afternoon. On this occasion, Ranju Mita took the baby Raisa in her lap and threw her on the ground. Kicked by foot, killing baby Raisa on the spot.
Meanwhile, on suspicion of being involved in the incident, the local residents arrested Raisa's grandfather, grandmother and mother-in-law and informed the police of Salanga police station. The police station recovered the body of the child and sent it to the morgue of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital, a 250-bed Bangamata.
