The police recovered the body of an unidentified (60) old woman from Rathpura Khan river in Narsingdi and the body was recovered from Ainal Khan river in Lochanpur village of Uttaraknagar Uniton of Ratpura upazila of Narsingdi district on Thursday (March 24).
According to the police, in the morning, a local man was going to the side of the river Khan river and saw the body floating in the river Samatar Sam.
After he informed the police, the police came and recovered the body from the river, said Sub-Inspector (SI) Alamgir, Rathpura police station, said that the man was initially believed to have epilepsy and died in the water. The rest will be known after the investigation.
The police are working to uncover the identity of the man, he said that the next legal action is under process.
