The High Court has formed a committee to find out what to do with defamatory content (speech, pictures, videos) on Facebook social media. The committee has been asked to submit a report in the form of a recommendation within a month.
Also, the High Court has issued a ruling to know why the inaction of the government in the disposal of defamatory content on Facebook is not illegal.
On Thursday (March 10), the High Court bench of Justice Mamnoon Rahman and Justice Khondkar Diliruzzaman gave an order.
Earlier, the writ was filed by Desh TV Managing Director Arifur Rahman, who was the lawyer for Mustafizur Rahman.
