BNP has expelled Advocate Timur Alam Khandkar from all posts including membership, who participated in the election of Naratanganj City Corporation as an independent candidate without following the Dalit decision.

The general secretary of BNP, ATM Kamal, has also been expelled from Naratanganj Metropolitan BNP, who was the chief election agent of Timur Alam Khandkar in the election.

This information was informed in a separate letter signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Tuesday (January 18).

It is said in the letter that you have been expelled from the posts of all the positions including the primary membership of the party in view of the constitution of BNP (Timur Alam and ATM Kamal) in view of the obvious complaint of being involved in the activities against the disciplinary system.

Incidentally, in the last January 16 Naratanganj City Corporation election, independent candidate Timur Alam Khandkar was defeated by Awami League candidate Selina Haat Ivy by 67 thousand votes.

Earlier, Timur Alam Khandkar was expelled from the post of BNP convener of Naratanganj district BNP, and he also exempted him from the post of BNP chairman advisor on January 3.
