The government has issued restrictions on the coronavirus infection with omekron or the 13th January (Thursday) across the country. Monday (January 10) evening notification has been issued by the Cabinet Department.
The notification states that the new variant of the virus (COVID-19) has not been reported in the country, the outbreak of the new virus, Omicron, and the country. The following restrictions have been imposed on the overall activities/management until further notice from January 13, taking into account the decision of the inter-ministerial meeting regarding the review of the disease transmission situation, keeping the country's socio-economic conditions, economic activities going and overall situation:
1. All must wear masks in all public places including shoppers, shopping malls and markets, including buyers and sellers, otherwise they will face legal punishment.
2. Masks must be used outside the home including offices and courts. Mobile courts should be conducted across the country to prevent disruption in hygiene practices.
3. A coroner vaccination certificate must be shown for sitting in restaurants and eating at a residential hotel.
4. All students above 12 years of age will not be allowed to enter the educational institution without the vaccination certificate after the date fixed by the Ministry of Education.
5. The number of screenings at land ports, seaports and airports should be increased. Ports should be banned from entering the ships. Only drivers can accompany the trucks coming to the land ports and no assistants can come. Visitors who accompanying foreigners must stop entering the airport.
6. Half of the capacity of train, bus and launch capacity can be taken by the concerned authorities will issue specific instructions including the date of effectiveness in this regard.All types of vehicle drivers and assistants must have Covid-19 vaccine certificate.
7. All passengers coming from abroad will have to perform mandatory COVID-19 vaccine certificate and perform rapid antigen test.
8. The imams will be aware of the Friday prayers in all mosques regarding the hygiene rules and wearing masks, and the District Administrator and Upazila Nirbahi Officers will confirm this.
9. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare will take necessary promotions and initiatives to accelerate the receiving of the Coronavirus vaccine and booster doses, and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will take the help of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
10. As the rate of Covid cases is increasing All kinds of social, political, religious events and gatherings in open space should be closed until further instructions.
11. In case of any special situation in the case of any area, the local administration can discuss with the concerned and take action.
The government has been requested to take necessary measures to implement these restrictions.
