The Chhatra League has organized various programs to demand the release of 5 leaders including Laxmipur District Chhatra League General Secretary Rakib Hossain Lotus. On Wednesday (Janu 18) around 5 pm, the poison was confirmed through a press release signed by Laxmipur District Chhatra League President Chowdhury Mahadunabi Sohel.
In the press release, District Chhatra League General Secretary Md. Rakib Hossain Lotus, Vice President KM Bappi Kabir (Pulsar Bappi), Miraj Hossain, Shahadat Hossain Juestel and Shahadat Hossain Sajib are demanded unconditional release.
The program includes protest march of Lakshmipur District Chhatra League today Wednesday evening, protest march of all units tomorrow Thursday and Manbandhan of all units of the district on Friday.
Earlier in the afternoon, the case of attempted murder of Chhatra League leader Ashraful Alam in Laxmipur, the court sentenced 10 people including District Chhatra League General Secretary Rakib Hossain Lotus to various charges.
