Tribute to the President and Prime Minister

Dhaka: On the occasion of the Great Vijta Day, the President paid tribute to the national memorial in Savar. Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

On Thursday (December 16) at 6 am, President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina laid wreaths at the altar of the memorial.

The President and the Prime Minister stayed silent for a while in memory of the brave martyrs of the liberation war, a well-armed team of the army, navy and air force, the state salute the tragic tunes, the bugle played.

Later, the Speaker of the National Parliament paid tribute. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury and Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain followed by the leaders of Aomi League.

The great independence was achieved on December 16, 1971 under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. As such, today is the 50th anniversary of Bijt. This year's Bijt Day has come in a different context. Bangladesh is celebrating the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden age of independence.
