In the fifth phase, the Union Parishad (UP) elections will be held in 50 January in the country's 707 UP. After the meeting of the Election Commission, the EC Secretary Md. Humatune Kabir Khondkar announced the election schedule.
On Saturday morning, Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda approved the schedule in the commission meeting at Agargaon election building.
As per the schedule, nomination papers can be submitted to the Returning Officer till December 7. The selection of nomination papers will be submitted to the Returning Officer for the post of General Member and Reserved Women Member.
