The UNESCO Executive Council has announced an international award in the name of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on his birth centenary.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina may hand over the prizes to the winners at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris on November 11, said Foreign Minister AK Abdul Memen.
He said this at a press conference organized to highlight the details of the Prime Minister's visit to the EURAP visit at the Foreign Ministry's conference room on Saturday, while the Minister of Environment, Forestry and Water Change was present at the meeting of Minister Shahrir Alam, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Md Shahrir Alam and other officials.
The foreign minister said, ‘The award will be presented at the UNESCO headquarters at the UNESCO headquarters, the award named Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman International Prize for the Creative Economics. This is the first time an international award has been announced in the name of Bangabandhu. This is a great pride for Bangladesh.’
