The President has taken the initiative to form a new election commission, Prime Minister and Aomi League President Sheikh Hasina said, "We hope that all political parties will trust the Election Commission (EC) formed by the President.
On Thursday (January 12) evening, the Prime Minister said this in his address to the nation from his official residence Ganabhaban. He gave this speech on the occasion of the third anniversary of the ruling Awami League government (8 consecutive years of the government).
The Prime Minister said, "We have passed three years of the current Meadors. Elections will be held after our specific medds. We believe in democracy. We have full confidence in the people."
He highlighted the abolition of the government system of government, the 15th Amendment and the 10th National Assembly elections of the 10th National Assembly elections.
