Ramgati Upazila of Laxmipur is related to the Right to Information Act 2009. Public Notification Meeting was held.
On Monday (January 10) at 10 am in the Upazila Parishad premises, the support of the Information Commission and the upazila administration organized the meeting.
Under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer SM Shafi Kamal and moderated by Youth Development Officer Shafiqul Islam Pathan, former Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Information Muha: Abul Hossain was the chief guest. Upazila Parishad Chairman Professor Abdul O'tahed was the special guest.
Municipal Mejbah Uddin Meju, Upazila Parishad Female Vice Chairman Mir Morjina Begum, Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Iqbal Hossain spoke.
The said meeting was attended by the officers and employees of various departments of the upazila administration, the chairman of the union council and secretaries, journalists, head teachers of all primary educational institutions, NGO representatives participated.
The Chief Guest gave a detailed explanation of the various sections of the Right to Information Act through video display and detailed explanation of the Information Act through questions and answers.
