The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the country's misery in Afghanistan has increased the country's misery due to the two decades of occupation of the US troops in Afghanistan.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova made this comment on Thursday.
He said that the problem of terrorism in Afghanistan, drug smuggling and living below the poverty line of people - none of these have decreased, but rather increased.
Marita Zakharova added, “Last stage, when US-led international troops were leaving Afghanistan, America killed civilians by drone strikes. Russia strongly condemned such indiscriminate killings.”
The Russian spokesman urged the international community to take effective measures to prevent the possible humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, as well as the formation of a participatory government comprising all the ethnic groups in Afghanistan.
