On Saturday (Feb 27) afternoon, the Prime Minister's office was organized at the Prime Minister's office. The Prime Minister joined it from the Ganabhaban. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Finance Minister Chao Bangabandhu's youngest daughter Sheikh Rehana, Awatami League General Secretary Obadadul Kader.
Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister, Ahmad Kakaus, held the press conference, and his presentation in a tearful voice caught everyone's attention at the beginning of the country, then at the hands of the Prime Minister, from the least developed country to the developing country. He gave the UN's final recommendation letter for the transition, and then the Prime Minister began his speech.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, ‘I have appeared before you after almost a year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Yet not directly, but not virtually. Today, however, I have come before you, to give the good news of a great and glorious certification. Bangladesh yesterday (Friday, February 26) from a less developed country to a developed country. have received UN recommendations for the passage. We are in developing countries I have fully qualified to be promoted.’
‘It is a great joy and pride for the entire nation. Our transition happened at a time when we are celebrating the birth centenary of the greatest Bengali father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. We are on the verge of celebrating the golden jubilee of the great freedom. This transition is a historic event for Bangladesh.’
Sheikh Hasina said, ‘The father of the nation in just three and a half years, he pulled the war-torn Bangladesh out of the rubble and took it to the ranks of a less developed country. On the 50th anniversary of independence, the Awami League, built by him, has elevated the country to the status of a developing country. This achievement is the achievement of the people of this country. We have achieved this milestone with the joint efforts of all. At this auspicious moment, I congratulate all the citizens of Bangladesh in the country and in the country. Thank you to our development partners.’
He further said, ‘As the daughter of the father of the nation, I feel blessed to be involved in this achievement as an insignificant servant. I am grateful to Almighty Allah. I dedicate this achievement to the new generation of our country. Who will take today's Bangladesh forward and make Bangladesh a better and prosperous Bangladesh.’
The press conference was attended by officials of the Prime Minister's office, members of the Cabinet, Awatami League leaders and prominent people of the country and journalists.
