The government has approved a law to bring the law to agencies to prevent Hajj and Umrah management in Saudi Arabia.
In the virtual cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday, the ‘Hajj and Umrah Management Act, 2020’ will give policy approval.

The Cabinet Secretary said that the overall responsibility of the management of the Holy Hajj and Umrah will be vested in the government. The government can take up all activities including setting up Hajj offices anywhere in Saudi Arabia on the basis of agreement and agreement with the Saudi government for the purpose of managing Hajj and Umrah.
The Cabinet Secretary said that in these cases, the registration of Hajj agencies and the registration of 50 lakh rupees and in the case of Umrah agencies can be canceled and fine up to Tk 15 lakh. If a criminal commits a crime, then the law can be punished.
The Cabinet Secretary said that if any Hajj or Umrah agency is warned for two consecutive years due to any inconsistency, his license will be invalidated for two years.
The law mentions that the government will create an emergency fund for the accident, death, accidents, and emergency funds of pilgrims.
