Senior SP Jisanul Haque said that in August this year, a newspaper advertisement was given. An established businessman is a citizen of Canada, a divorced child, an old man who is interested in taking charge of business for a prayerful bride, and the interested parties are asked to contact a mobile number and give them a mobile number. Later, a victim complained to the CID and contacted the mobile number mentioned in the advertisement. Later, Jannat met with her in a restaurant in Gulshan and she was notoriously released and received her passport.
Later, Jannat told Nazir Hossain that she herself is a bride. There is a business of two hundred crore rupees in Canada, but now it is very cold in Canada. Nazir Hossain is not going to take it in the country. He had taken a limb of Rs 1 crore 79 lakh 50 thousand for tax, VAT, DHL bills etc. for business to bring money from Canada. Jannat then cut off the mobile phone and also stopped contact with Nazir, then the victim Nazir Hossain complained to the CID.
Similarly, the CID first arrested Jannat while going to meet another victim.
Later, the passports of three victims, 10 mobile phones, three memory cards, seven seals, numerous SIMs, the account book of the victims of fraud were recovered from Jannat and the deposit slip of Tk 48 lakh was recovered from the bank.
The CID official said that the account of the previous fraud and the names and addresses of the victims, led by Jannat, has been cheating for the past 10 years. So far, the CID has found their property worth Tk 20 crore.
