cover ;; Irfan Salim, son of Dhaka-7 Constituency Member of Parliament Haji Selim, has been dismissed from the post of Councilor of Ward No. 30 of Dhaka South City Corporation.
On Tuesday (October 27) night, he was dismissed and a notification was issued by the local government department.
Last Sunday night, Irfan Salim and his companions beat up the naval officer Lt. Otasif Ahmed Khan from the government garried with stickers and his companions, which took place next to the Kalabagan signal in the capital.
The incident was reported that night, but on Monday morning, the Navy officer filed a case against seven people including Haji Selim's son Irfan. On Monday afternoon, RAB arrested Irfan and the old Dhaka raided the house of the RAB on Monday.
The operation also recovered 38 য়ীটিকি, five VPS sets, a pistol, a single-barreled gun, a briefcase, a handcuff, a drone and seven bottles of foreign liquor and beads.
Councilor Irfan Salim and his bodyguard Mohammad Zahid were sentenced to one year in prison by RAB mobile court and they were sent to Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj at night.
