Laxmipur jailed eight jailers

In Rakhtpur, Lakshmipur, 8 fishermen were arrested by the Vraman court in Rakhtpur, Meghna river, and each person was fined 3,000 taka 24,000 taka. On Thursday morning (October 22), the end of the water ghat from Puranbei Ghat of the upazila, the last boundary of the water ghat from the water ghat and from the water ghat to the water ghat, the last boundary of the Altaf Master Ghat Hat Saju Molla Ghat Hat Saju Molla Ghat (Rushpur, 120:20). The court was conducted by District Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Md. Al Amin, Md. Sintor Upazila Fisheries Officer Jasim Uddin, Assistant Fisheries Officer Belat Hossain; Extension Officer Abdullah Al Mahmud; Muhammad Masudur Rahman, Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Field Assistant, Coast Guard members and three Units Ghatsari Dhartis.

The convicted fishermen are Monir Bepari (45), Mannan Bepari (50), Yusup Ali Majhi (45), Billal Hossain (50), Md Miraj (18) of Charvanshi village of Ratapur, Md. Jasim (38) and Md Hossain (55).

Ratpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sabreen Chowdhury said that despite the ban in Meghna river water conservation (Rashpur part) eight sailors were arrested in the river for fishing for the purpose of fishing. Fish Protection and Conservation Act, 1950 (1) Section 8 fishermen, 24000 taka per person, the boat was fined 24000 taka per person. This campaign will continue in the interest of the public and to protect the wealth of the country.
