Zahid Farooq said that the government is trying to prevent the river erosion. The sincere efforts of the government are continuing in different parts of the country.

On Friday (September 18) at 11 am, the minister said these things in the speech of the chief guest after visiting the fall of the Meghna river breach area of Kamalnagar upazila of Kamalnagar upazila.

He added that the Prime Minister tried to fulfill all the promises and the project will be implemented to prevent the soon-to-eat Kamalnagar-Ramgati breach.

After the Kamalnagar road meeting, State Minister for Water Resources Colonel Zahid Farooq MP visited Sonali village of Ramgati, Balurchar and Char Algi areas affected by the erosion of the Meghna river.

Kamalnagar Upazila Aomi League President AKM Nurul Amin Master was the special guest, Member of Parliament for Laipur-04 (Ramgati-Kamalnagar) Constituency and General Secretary of Alternative Dhara Major (retd.) Abdul Mannan was present at the meeting, Director General of Pani Unana Board Mahfuzur Rahman, Laxmipur Deputy Commissioner Anjan Chandra Pal, Superintendent of Police Dr. AHM Kamruzzaman, Kamalnagar Upazila Chairman Mejbah Uddin Ahmed Bappi, Kamalnagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Mobarak Hossain, Ramgati Circle Marufa Nazneen, Kamalnagar Police Station Incharge Md. Nurul Abshar, Awami League central leader Abduz Jaher Saju, president of the alternative Mohammad Ulya Mita, general secretary Md. Chiddik Ullah Mia.
