At the same time, the registration fee of the online news portal has been fixed at 10 thousand taka.
On Sunday (September 13), two orders have been issued by the Ministry of Information.
The office order of determining the authority said, the Department of Information has been empowered to take up the online news portal registration process till the formation of the Commission as per the ‘National Online Media Policy, 2017 (Amended 2020)’.
The approved registration form for registration has been sent to the Department of Information.
It has also been informed in the notification that the Finance Department has given its consent to fix the registration fee on August 25.
On July 30, 34 news portals were selected for registration by the Ministry of Information. Then on September 3, the online portals of 92 daily newspapers of Dhaka Metropolitan and Divisional cities were registered for registration.
However, the code number of the registration fee is still known by the Ministry of Information.
The officials have learned that the information department should know the code number from the Ministry of Information and after filling the form for the registration of the selected portals, the money should be deposited through the code number and the money should be deposited through the challan.
