The High Court has issued a ruling to find out why it would not be illegal to deduct an additional 4 percent in the Retirement Benefit Board and Welfare Trust of private teachers and employees.<\/p>\n
On Sunday (December 8), the High Court bench of Justice M Inayetur Rahim and Justice Md. Mostafizur Rahman issued the ruling.<\/p>\n
The defendants, including the senior secretary of the Ministry of Teachers, the Retirement Facility Board and the Secretary of the Welfare Trust, have been asked to respond to the rule within four weeks.<\/p>\n
All the petitioners are MPO teachers.<\/p>\n
This writ was filed by the teachers on November 20 seeking a stay of the additional deduction of 4 percent from the teachers' MPO by the Retirement Benefits Board and Welfare Trust of the private teachers and employees.<\/p>\n
In the case of the rule of stopping the excess, Bangladesh Teachers Association (BTA) general secretary Kawshar Ali Sheikh said that the deduction of four percent of the MPO has been completely illegal. The poison has been noticed by the court for a long time to stop the excess cut. BTA has requested the education administration to stop the additional deduction before the court orders the order to stop the deduction of additional subscriptions from the Ministry of Education.<\/p>\n
