In the upcoming fifth upazila parishad elections, the Sadar upazilas will be voted on Electronic Voting Machine (EVM). In this case, the Election Commission (EC) has decided to vote on this machine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

EC Secretary Helaluddin Ahmad gave this information in a press conference on Monday (January 14) after the commission meeting at the midata center of the election building.<\/p>\n

He said that the Election Commission has decided to use the Sadar Upazilas and EVMs among the upazilas, and in this case the entire Sadar Upazila will be polled in EVMs.<\/p>\n

Helaluddin Ahmad said, schedule in February Voting will be held in five phases from the beginning of March.<\/p>\n

The Election Commission has voted in the EVMs in the 11th National Assembly elections, although the EVM vote rate was low as expected.<\/p>\n

This is the first time that the election organizer will vote in EVM in the local elections on a large scale.
