District Intelligence Branch (DB-2) has arrested 5 drug dealers along with Indian liquor and a motorcycle in Bakshiganj of Jamalpur.<\/p>\n
They were arrested from Vaishnabpara of Bakshiganj police station at 8:20 pm on Saturday (October 24) and a Suzuki Gixxer 150 cc motorcycle used in smuggling was seized from them at the same time.<\/p>\n
The arrested persons are Sujat Mia (37), Sifat (20), Joydevpur's Rubel Mia (27), Furkan Hossain (19) of Janakipur Mirdhapara and Aman Ullah Uday (27) of Lauchapara village.<\/p>\n
According to the district police sources, a patrol team of DB-2 conducted a raid at Sujat Mia's house in Vaishnabpara, Bakshiganj, based on secret information, and 5 people were arrested in the operation.<\/p>\n
The arrested persons were smuggling Indian liquor from the border areas and selling them in different districts of the country.<\/p>\n
In this regard, Bakshiganj Upazila Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Ahbadak Zubaidul Islam Shamim said that the general secretary of Chhatra Dal union branch Aman Ullah Uday is a victim of conspiracy. In this regard, a team including the central Chhatra Dal leader will visit the scene and talk to the general public and take necessary action against him.
