\nOn Sunday (August 16), the upazila administration and fisheries department will organize fishing, rallies and discussion meetings on the occasion of Fisheries Week.
\nUpazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rahat Uz Zaman was present as the chief guest at the event while Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Surya Saha presided over the event.
\nUpazila Social Service Officer Bajlur Karim, Project Realty Officer Paritosh Das, Upazila BNP President Nurul Huda Chowdhury, Jamaat-e-Islami Upazila Amir Maulana Abul Khair, Kamalnagar Press Club General Secretary Fatz Mahmud, Office Secretary Ibrahim Sultan, Acting President of Small Fishermen Association spoke. Officials of various departments of upazila administration including Ibrahim, leaders of fishing associations and local dignitaries.
\nThe speakers said that everyone should be aware of the protection of fisheries in the country, to ensure the breeding and safe environment of fish in rivers and canals and water bodies, as well as work together to stop illegal fishing, which will improve the quality of life of fishermen as well as improve the quality of life of fishermen.
