The interim government's chief adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus, has a courtesy call on the Kosovo Republic of Bangladesh Ambassador Lazim Plana. They met each other at the State Guest House Yamuna on Tuesday (June 24) afternoon.<\/p>\n
It was the first official meeting of Ambassador Planner, and Chief Advisor Ambassador Plana extended his warm welcome to Ambassador Plana for his appointment and a warm welcome to Bangladesh, commemorating the spirit of the \u2018July Mutiny\u2019 in Bangladesh, and praised the people of Kosovo's unwavering commitment to the freedom, peace and national sovereignty.<\/p>\n
In response, Ambassador Plana expressed deep gratitude to the Bangladesh government and people for recognizing Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state. He recalled the contribution of rural Kosovo to the reconstruction of the people of Kosovo after the armed conflict in the Kosovo region in the late 1990s.<\/p>\n

Grameen Kosovo, established in 1999, is currently the country's top microcredit organization, operating in 20 municipalities and 219 villages, with 97 percent of its borrowers being women, which is the organization that is the implementing organization of the Microcredit program.<\/p>\n
Recalling that difficult time, the chief adviser said, \"It was a tremendous experience for us. When we got there, the whole area was destroyed. The men did not return. There was no currency, no banking system, and we started the activities of Grameen Bank from scratch.<\/p>\n
The meeting also discussed the development of bilateral relations between the two countries, which also discussed the increase in trade and economic cooperation, which the chief adviser urged to increase the mutual cooperation in potential sectors such as export-oriented clothing, medicine, leather and leather products, jute products, processed food and light engineering, he urged Kosovo to increase investment in the economic region of Bangladesh.<\/p>\n
Ambassador Plana highlighted the need to strengthen relations between the business communities of the two countries, calling for cooperation between the trade and industrial chambers of the two countries to increase mutual trade and investment.<\/p>\n
Highlighting the importance of strengthening humanitarian relations, the Chief Adviser called for assistance in recruiting more Bangladeshi workers in various sectors in Kosovo, he also suggested that the number of Bangladeshi students in Kosovo's universities should be increased and scholarships, fellowships and academic grants can be provided for that purpose.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
