37% tariffs on Bangladeshi products"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This time, the US additional duty on Bangladesh is 37 percent of the tariff rate on Bangladeshi products.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement was made on Wednesday (April 3) at a press conference at the Rose Garden of the White House in the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>The US President announced the new tariff plan at a minimum rate of 10 percent on the day, while the tariff rate on Bangladeshi products was 15 percent in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Economists believe that the country's export market, especially the garment sector, will have a negative impact due to the additional duty.<\/p>\n<p>Bangladesh exports $8.4 billion worth of goods annually to the United States, and most of them are made of garments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Bangladesh has also been subjected to increased tariffs, with the tariff rate of 26 per cent on India, 29 per cent on Pakistan and 34 per cent on China, and 20 per cent tax on the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>Also, 24 percent duty has been imposed on Japan, South Coria 25, Malteshita 24 percent, Vietnam 46 percent, Pakistan 29 percent, Sri Lanka 44 percent, Thailand 36 percent and Combodeta
