The interim government has started important reform activities to restore the trust of the people of Bangladesh, said the chief advisor. Muhammad Yunus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018Our young generation and countrymen have demonstrated extraordinary determination and strength to redefine the future of Bangladesh. We have undertaken important reforms to restore people's trust,\u2019 he said.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said this while addressing the inaugural session of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) conference in Hainan, China on Thursday (March 27).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Referring to the ongoing reform program, Dr. Yunus said, \u2018Independent Commission has been formed So that reforms can be brought in the electoral system, judiciary, civil administration and law enforcement.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He mentioned that if this reform program is implemented, a fundamental transformation of our nation will be achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018When we are going to build a new Bangladesh, like other countries in Asia, we are facing multiple challenges,\u2019 said the chief advisor.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He noted that global financial market volatility, political uncertainty, diplomatic tensions and trade disruptions are creating volatility in the global economy, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Yunus said, \u2018Asia's debt crisis is deepening due to the increase in interest rates and the increase in credit service costs.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018Despite commitment to the global 2030 agenda, progress is slowing in the global development goal (SDGs) and only 24 percent of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have been achieved so far,\u2019 said Professor Yunus.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said developing Asian countries Every year, 2.5 to 4 trillion US dollars are facing SDG financing deficits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The chief adviser said, beyond the SDG funding, Asia should bring economic diversity through large amounts of infrastructure investment and responsible financing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Calling for prevention of corruption and financial wastage, the chief advisor said that Bangladesh has been a victim of corruption and illegal money flow for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He pointed out that developing countries are developing countries with such corruption and financial irregularities. About a trillion US dollars are incurred each year, which is manifold more than they receive as international development aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said, \u2018Asia should unite to restore wealth and restore the money laundered money, and a multilateral mediation system should be developed.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
