target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a>The state has appealed against the acquittal of all the accused, including Tariq Rahman, in the August 21 grenade attack case, which could be heard on Wednesday (March 19) morning at the Attorney General's Office confirmed this information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier, the High Court bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Syed Enayet Hossain announced the verdict acquittal of all the accused including Tariq Rahman on December 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Observing the verdict, the High Court said that the judgment of the judicial court of the cases is illegal, because it has been given in an illegal way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In two cases filed in connection with the grenade attack, 19 people, including former state minister for home Lutfuzzaman Babar, were sentenced to death by Dhaka on October 10, 2018. 19 people, including BNP acting chairman Tarek Rahman, were sentenced to life and 11 others to various terms of imprisonment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is noted that on August 21, 2004, 24 people were killed and 300 others were injured in a grenade attack on the Awami League rally on Bangabandhu Avenue in Dhaka, and the cases were filed after the incident, the then opposition leader and Awami League president Sheikh Hasina narrowly
